Croatian nationals do not require a work permit as per 1 July 2018
The Dutch government has decided to no longer postpone the freedom of movement of employees for Croatian nationals as of 1 July 2018. Reason for the Dutch government is that they do not expect a large influx of Croatian nationals to the Netherlands and the fact that the Dutch economy is growing. This means that employers no longer first need to apply for a work permit before they can employ Croatians.
