Fee for EC long term residence permit € 201
The Immigration Service is allowed to charge a fee of € 201 for a permanent residence permit for third-country nationals who are long-term residents (Directive 2003/109/EC). This is not in violation of Directive 2003/109/EC. This was ruled by the High Administrative Court in a recent verdict.
According to the Court the Immigration Service is allowed to base this fee upon the actual costs incurred. The height of the fee is not obstructing the right of immigrants to reside in The Netherlands.
