Fine for employment interns
The Labor Inspection imposed a fine of EUR 176,000 for employment by foreigners who worked as an intern in different hotels. Work permits were issued for these interns. The actual daily activities of these interns, however, did not correspond with the activities as described in the work permit applications. Labor Inspection therefore could impose the fine. See the judgment by the High Administrative Council (Raad van State) of 12 January 2011 (200909864/1).
