Highly Skilled Migrant Program: no scarcity test
The Highly Skilled Migrant Program will not have as a condition for issuance of the permit that qualified personnel is scarce on the labor market. The Secretary of State writes in his letter to the Parliament that the Netherlands and its economy have a need for skilled migrants. A scarcity test will make the Netherlands less attractive for skilled foreigners and foreign companies. Therefor the Secretary of State writes that he will come in 2015 with a proposal to even ease the conditions to be eligible for a highly skilled migrant permit.
