Brexit and the position of British nationals in the Netherlands

8 mei 2021 Jelle Kroes has written an article about the Brexit and the immigration issues for British nationals. The position of nationals of the United Kingdom who already resided in the Netherlands before the Brexit is regulated in the Withdrawal Agreement. Their right to reside and the right to work in the Netherlands is guaranteed in the Withdrawal Agreement. The residence status and the right to work for British nationals who intend to live and work in the Netherlands after Brexit, the so-called "newcomers", is a lot more complicated. The Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) that the European Union has concluded with the United Kingdom offers some starting points and privileges for British nationals compared to other third-country nationals. The article takes a closer look at these aspects of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement. Click here  for the article (Dutch).
