After living with your partner or spouse in the Netherlands for several years, you have reached the conclusion that you can no longer remain together. But what if your residence permit is based on your relationship or marriage? If you will be allowed to stay in the Netherlands depends on your individual situation. For example, favourable rules apply if you have had a relationship or marriage with an EU national (non-Dutch national).
