Passport photo and photoform no longer required
As of 1 January it is no longer required that foreigners submitting a residence permit application in the Netherlands must also submit a passport photo and signed photoform. For EU nationals this requirement still stays in place. Foreigners will have to visit the IND-office whereby the immigration officer will make a digital photo and will take fingerprints. No appointment is required. These biometric data will be stored at the Immigration Service. Foreigners who need a MVV long stay visa to enter the Netherlands must still submit a passport photo at the Dutch representation abroad. The Dutch representation will scan the photo and will take fingerprints.
