Directive seasonal employment: Netherlands not positive
The Dutch interest in the Directive for seasonal employment is not huge, says the Dutch government. There are hardly seasonal workers from outside the EU working in The Netherlands: 77 migrants in 2009. The Dutch government is also not pleased that in the current proposal no work permit is required or that other documents can be requested to proof that work is allowed. During the negotiations about the Directive, the Dutch government will push for a work permit requirement.
