Immigration Authorities will watch recognised sponsors more closer
The Immigration Inspection recently published a report in which is concluded that the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) officers hardly impose any sanctions on companies that are recognised sponsor in case of breach of the Aliens Act. The Secretary of State reacted on this report with a policy letter to the Dutch parliament. He promised that the IND will enforce stricter compliance. Companies that are recognised sponsor and violate the compliance duties: duty of care, duty to inform and duty to administrate, can expect a warning, financial penalty or in case of being a frequent offender, supsension or cancellation of the recognised sponsorship status.
